Dolce and Gabbana to Serve Jail Time for Tax Evasion


Dolce and Gabbana just finished their spring show in Milan , but unfortunately the two fashion masterminds will strut from the catwalk to a prison cell.

An Italian court sentenced Domenico Dolce and Steffano Gabbana to
One year and eight months in prison for allegedly no paying their taxes.

According to TMZ the italian duo , and former couple, were accused of creating a phony company in Germany in 2004 and 2005 where they then transferred control to D&G in order to avoid paying taxes.

The two men were also ordered to $665,000 in fines.

The two met in Milan in 1982 and established a designer consulting studio; in time it grew to become “Dolce & Gabbana. The duo has been responsible for dressing number of celebs and public figures ranging from Princess Di to Denzel Washington. They won an Oscar for best male perfume in 1996.It was announced at the beginning of year revenue for the company reached 1 billion dollars in January.

Dolce and Gabbana are not the first designers to serve time for trying to save their company money.In 2002 Steven Madden served one year and five months after pleading guilty to money laundering and securities fraud.
